Whitetail Hunts
Creek bottoms, river corridors and the whitetails that work them.

The Whitetail Hunt
Guided Whitetail in South Dakota
Whitetails add an entirely different element to the hunt. Creek and river corridors, agricultural areas, cover and broken terrain can create excellent travel and feeding habitat. Hunters should be prepared for anything — from spotting a buck at distance to having a whitetail suddenly appear out of a drainage or patch of cover.
We hunt travel corridors, transition zones and feeding areas, adapting each day to weather, wind and how the deer are moving. It's an exciting mix of country on the same ground that holds our mule deer.
Hunt Details
The Essentials
Where
Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation region & applicable South Dakota state lands, depending on the hunt and land status.
How
Guided spot-and-stalk — extensive glassing from vantage points, then using terrain and wind to close the distance.
Party & Pricing
Parties of 1–4 hunters. Pricing is set by the hunt, species and tag — reach out for a quote and available dates.
Licensing & Land
Tribal vs. State
The Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe manages wildlife on tribal trust lands under its own licensing system and seasons, separate from South Dakota's state system. A state license does not authorize hunting on tribal trust land, and a tribal license does not authorize hunting on private deeded ground where a state license is required. Because the two systems are separate, your exact dates and license depend on the tag and land being hunted — we confirm all of it with you when you book.
